I love makeup. But I also love (or sometimes obsess in) caring for my skin. If you know me personally, you'll know that when I'm stressed, I break out. A lot. Random rash on my face starts appearing and worse, big zits. So until now, I lie low on makeup—I only use a brow pencil and powder, CC cream, lip tint (not even blush on my cheeks) and occasionally apply concealer for when I am feeling a little extra. However, on some days, I still miss wearing makeup and feeling a little extra. And my favorite look lately is the flushed look, which I match with my new Colourpop Lippie Stix!

Colourpop Cosmetics is one of my all-time favorite makeup brands. Because apart from they're cruelty-free, their products have good quality without breaking the bank. So, I got me some more Colourpop Lippie Stix—Grungre and Taurus. Both have warm shades which obvs are my fave. I'm sharing the swatches here so you'll know what I'm talking about. 😉

So first off, this is how I look like without makeup:

Okay, so let's start with the shade Grunge. It's a mid-toned red-brown matte lipstick. I've always liked nude, MLBB (my lips but better) and brown shades when it comes to lipsticks. Regardless of finish. In fact, I have a Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Tulle and it's kind of close to this shade.

Then I matched it with my the flushed look, which is basically more blush on your cheeks, plus highlighter! I use Maybelline's Gigi Hadid Jetsetter Palette. The highlighter is the bomb. It's super shiny without making your skin look dry nor tend to enlarge your pores. Just look at that glow tho.

I love the warm color of Grunge. It's like that brownish-brick red which flatters almost any skin color. What's even better is the formula of Colourpop's Lippie Stix. It glides on easily, very creamy, and stays for hours. It can be too creamy if you apply it twice, so what I do is to blot and reapply a few so it looks a little matte.

Taurus is a warm tan-dark tangerine-ish shade that I never thought I could pull off. I try to stay away from orange-y shades because I feel like I could never pull them off. The first and only orange-shade lipstick that I have prior to this is MAC Cosmetics' Giambattista Valli lipstick in Margherita. Taurus is the perfect shade for a fun trip at the beach or a night out if you're like me who's not into bold and tropical-ish lipstick shades.

So here are more photos of my makeup. I went for the flushed and glowing look since I was on my way to a night out at that time. I was pretty pleased with my makeup because it's not too loud. Show some appreciation guys, LOL.

Soooo... Should I blog about the highlighter I used for this look? 🤔
