Korean Drama Fever: A compilation of my favorite scenes from Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

Korean Drama Fever: A compilation of my favorite scenes from Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo

I have watched Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo last year—around the same time, it was shown in South Korea. However, after months of speculation on whether Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo co-stars Nam Joo Hyuk and Lee Sung Kyung are dating, just this April 24th, their management YG Entertainment has finally issued a statement that two are indeed really dating. So of course, the NJH x LSK shipper inside of me was so damn happy (the ship has sailed!!!). I was so happy to the point that I felt the urge to watch WFKBJ again... But will rather not, since I'm super busy nowadays.

YG issued a statement saying, "We have checked with Lee Sung Kyung and Nam Joo Hyuk, and we were told that the two, who were close friends since their modeling days, recently started seeing each other with good feelings."

The CW's Riverdale | Honest Thoughts From An Avid Archie Comics Fan

Both photos from Riverdale's official Facebook page

From one of the most loved and longest running comic publication to a TV adaptation. This concept isn't new for the brand Archie Comics as it has already launched quite a number of cartoons, a movie and of course TV series, both animation and live action. I have been an Archie fan and collector ever since I was a young kid. It's been what, almost 2 decades already? (Because I was already a fan as early as 8 years old!) To my surprise, joy and well, disappointment, the American broadcasting network, The CW decided to bring the comic series to television. The series is called "Riverdale", which is the name of the town where Archie and all his friends live. Me being surprised is understandable, because, it was really unexpected; and joy, because being a true Archie Comics fanmeans you'd be happy about anything new about Archie and the gang! The disappointment is a different story though. Allow me to fill you in through this post.

Warning: Spoilers ahead. If you haven't watched the first few episodes of Riverdale, you may want to skip this. But if this post already piqued your interest, then, by all means, go click the read more link! Don't say I didn't warn you though. ;)

The [selective] couch potato in me.

Being a couch potato doesn't really mean you have to watch on a real television because nowadays, you can watch your favorite TV series on your laptop, tablet, and smartphone anytime, anywhere!

My 2015 in Movies

I started to fell in love with movies when I was a graduating student back in college, year 2012. Since I was about to graduate and I was able to take some subjects in advance, I had quite a lot of time, especially on my last term. That's when I started to devoting my time to movies  apart from books and blogging of course. I was even blogging about movie reviews, movie marathons (Disney, Zooey Deschanel, Mario Maurer, etc etc.) before, but then again, adulthood and responsibilities that comes with it happened...

Movie Marathon | Interstellar

I have always been into movies especially when I was still a fresh grad and unemployed (bum). Blogging about all the movies I have watched (movie marathon) has been my hobby back then. But, ever since I got a job (and it's been more than 2 years now since I had it), I totally forgot about it. It's only late last year when I revamped my blog and decided to bring it to life that I got into blogging about the movies I watch again. However, since I have a job and I'm quite a hard time juggling everything in my life, I wasn't able to maintain this habit of mine.

TMH Playlist | Begin Again OST

image

I previously posted about the movie "Begin Again" a few weeks ago, and until now, their official soundtrack still got me hooked. Who wouldn't?? With Adam Levine's influence (don't get me wrong, the guy can really sing!) plus a very unique sound that this album has to offer, I'm pretty sure you'll have the last song syndrome to at least one or two songs.

Movie Marathon | Two Night Stand (2014)

image

Ever since the movie Project X (2012), it seems like Miles Teller was always on the big screen—the guy practically has more than two movies in a year! For 2013, he was the lead for The Spectacular Now along with Shailene Woodley; and then there's another movie called 21 & Over. For 2014, he was in WhiplashThat Awkward Moment with Zac Efron and Michael B. Jordan; he was also in Divergent with Shailene Woodley again; and this movie, Two Night Stand with Annaleigh Tipton (Crazy, Stupid, Love).

Warning, spoilers ahead!

Movie Marathon | Begin Again (2013)

Begin Again

It's been a while since I posted on this blog of mine, so allow me to share my thoughts about this movie I just watched yesterday/last night--since it took me and the boyfriend a while to finish this, because we decided to watch it while on their way to his sister's birthday celebration.

So, let's get down to business. If you've been listening to the radio or if you're using Spotify app to listen to music--and have come across the Top 100 Songs playlist, chances are, you also came across with this new Adam Levine song entitled "Lost Stars". Since it's good, it leaves you wanting for more, and wondering and asking "What album is this from?"

Movie Marathon | The Giver (2014)

image

The Giver is a 2014 movie based on the book of the same title by Lois Lowry. It's one of those YA fiction novels about rebellion and teenagers or young adults who fight for what's right. There's The Hunger Games trilogy by Suzanne Collins, the Divergent trilogy by Veronica Roth and The Host by Stephenie Meyer.

What's amazing, is how star-studded this movie is. Featuring Jeff Bridges as The Giver, Meryl Streep as the Chief Elder (president), Brenton Thwaites as Jonas (the next "Giver"), Alexander Skarsgard as Jonas' Father, Katie Holmes as Jonas' Mother, Odeya Rush as Fiona (the love interest), Cameron Monaghan as Asher and Taylor Swift as Rosemary (The Givers' daughter) among others.

Warning: Potential spoilers ahead!

Reliving Breaking Dawn Part 1

Because I can't wait for Breaking Dawn part II!!! :) Oh, here are my favorite scenes from Part I:

Movie Marathon | The Hot Chick

This is one funny movie from Rob Schneider and probably, Rachel McAdams' introductory movie.  I like how the guy respects Rachel's character here, although she thinks he only wants to have sex with him, which believe it or not, isn't true. You know, guys like him are rare--has respect for girls especially their girlfriends. But oh well. This one's a good watch! :)

Here are some of my favorite lines/quotes and scenes from this movie:

Zooey Deschanel Movie Marathon | Part IV: Yes Man

Yes Man

Wow. This is another movie oozing with "good vibes". I mean, hello, aside from it's THE Jim Carrey, there's also Zooey Deschanel! I mean, she's so adorable. :) Jim and Zooey looked good together! This is one good movie, I loved watching it! :)

What I love the most about Pretty Little Liars

1-- Handsome guys

2-- Pretty girls

3-- Fashion

Movie Marathon | Blue Valentine

Blue Valentine

"Blue Valentine" is yet another addition to Ryan Gosling's growing list of good movies. I mean, wow. The Notebook, All Good Things, Crazy Stupid Love, and this one--they're all my favorite movies! Can't wait to watch more of his movies. The more I watch a Ryan Gosling movie, the more I like him. Haha. Srsly. He is one good actor. For me, he is really good at portraying matured/old man (30 to 40 years old) roles. Just, wow.

Movie Marathon | A Cinderella Story 2 and 3

Didn’t know that Hilary Duff’s A Cinderella Story has sequels! Anyhow, I’m done watching PART 2: Another Cinderella Story starring Selena Gomez, and PART 3: Once Upon A Song starring Lucy Hale!!! OMG, I didn’t even know that Lucy Hale can sing great!

Movie Marathon | Romeo + Juliet (1996)

Romeo + Juliet

The past few weeks, I’ve been hooked with William Shakespeare’s works, and what a coincidence-I've had the movie “Romeo+Juliet (1996)” last year, but I haven’t watched it yet, so I decided to watch it the other day. Photos below are screencaps of some of my favorite scenes from the movie.

Zooey Deschanel Movie Marathon | Part III: The Go-Getter

It's been like 2 months since I've watched and continued with my "Zooey Deschanel Movie Marathon". Blame my hectic schedule. Ha ha! Anyhow, here's the third movie I've watched, "The Go-Getter".

Movie Marathon | Crazy, Stupid, Love

It's just funny how ironic love can be sometimes: Crazy, Stupid, Love. Steve Carell, Julianne Moore and Emma Stone... Hnngg... BTW. My favorite screen caps are shown below. (Oh Ryan Gosling~ :">)

Movie Marathon | Definitely, Maybe

Last week, I watched the movie, "Definitely, Maybe" starring Ryan Reynolds. <3 I downloaded it because I thought Zooey Deschanel was in here since this movie appeared when I googled for her movies. That's why I was really waiting for her appearance, a cameo at least, but nope. Finally, I realized that Zooey wasn't really there until I finished watching the movie.
