Happy 2019! It still hasn't sunk into me that 2018 is already behind us. (In fact, my mind is still in 2018. LOL.) This Christmas, we opted to just stay at home (and get lots of sleep), which made me remember what a fun Christmas we had in 2017! That year, we decided to spend our first Christmas together as a married couple somewhere we can relax, have fun and enjoy each other's company. We chose to stay at Club Balai Isabel in Talisay, Batangas. It's a few hours away from Metro Manila, but the travel time is definitely worth it.

The boyfriend and I love having staycations for every major occasion like birthdays and our anniversary. This year, I made it a point to make it simple yet unique and memorable. I've had lots of plans in mind, like booking at a hotel in Tagaytay City or go somewhere north like in Antipolo. However, I came across this deal at MetroDeal. After thinking a lot of times, reading reviews online and failed payment transactions (Damn BPI for their on-and-off again online banking!), I finally booked it and guess what, no regrets.

Saturday night, I was told (by told, I meant I was asked--and that I have to come. lol) by the boyfriend that he and his family will celebrate his younger brother's birthday at Pansol, Laguna the following day until Monday, which is a holiday. We were both supposed to attend a birthday party, but since it was his brother's birthday celebration, it is the priority.
