I'd like to think a new year signifies new things. So for this year, I am introducing a new segment on my blog: a monthly playlist! I know it will seem like a lot of work, but trust me, it isn't. Spotify is one of my necessity. Not more than Instagram or Facebook, but it certainly is included in my top 5. I super love my premium subscription because it allows me to stream and save unlimited music to my phone. I meant that part when I said it was a necessity for me because I am a workaholic, but I only truly get in the zone with either of the two: 1) when it's blissfully silent, or 2) when my earphones are on.

For people who are close to me, they really know that I take the time to carefully curate playlists. That is one of the reasons why I actually came up with this segment. So just to give you a hint on how I take my playlists seriously, below are the list of the playlists I handpicked myself. (I made playlists depending on genre, event, mood, and even a decade's worth of them songs!)

We're already halfway through January, but it's still not too late for this, isn't it? So anyway for my first monthly playlist for this month, I felt like 2017 is going to be a big year for me so I wanted my first playlist to be slow but with a subtle upbeat kind of vibe. To know more about what I'm talking about, you can check out my playlist below:

It has more than 60 songs already, but I'll still add more if I come across something nice. The playlist is big on the music of Fickle Friends and LANY—both of which share almost the same feels. And then Phoebe Ryan, because I met her two days before the new year. Will post about that soon, so stay tuned! Special mention also to Flume's "Never Be Like You", The Chainsmokers' "Paris" (the duo just recently released this!) and VERITE's amazing version of The 1975's "Somebody Else".

So there you go, hope you could listen to it and enjoy it just as much as I do. And if you did, share some love on the comment section, I'd like to know what you think about it. ;)
