A Beautiful (and Intimate) Baguio Wedding

A Beautiful (and Intimate) Baguio Wedding

There is really something about weddings. Even as guests, it makes you shed a tear or two (or bawl your eyes out) while being genuinely happy at the same time.

Weddings—no matter how simple or grand the celebration is, will always be intimate for me. That's why I always feel grateful whenever I get invited to one.

So last week, I was invited to attend our Manager's wedding in Baguio City!!! It was going to be my first time there so I said yes anyway, despite having only a four days to prepare, e.g. by an outfit and prepare and pack my stuff.

Baguio Townhouse Condominium

The gorgeous bride was so hands-on. In fact, she even secured a guest house via Airbnb for some of their friends and family! We stayed at the cozy Baguio Townhouse Condominium which was near the wedding venue.

Behind Baguio Townhouse Condominium, was DMCI's residential condo called "Outlook Ridge."

The wedding was on a Saturday afternoon. But since we will be doing our own makeups, we were already preparing that morning. Thank goodness we also have a professional MUA with us. 😉

Here's me, getting some much-needed eyeshadow magic from the MUA herself! She used a Tarte Tartelette Amazonian Clay Matte Eyeshadow Palette.

I did my own makeup except for the eyeshadow. I asked the help of my MUA friend who does better at it than me.

Just look at that well-blended eyeshadow! I have chinita eyes, so I need eye makeups which will make my eyes look bigger. However, I can't have too much or I will look mataray.

My first time in Baguio is so memorable because I got to be part of a beautiful wedding held at Baguio Country Club. Look at those perfect blue skies...

The attire for the guests was either in dark or pastel colors. I chose an off-shoulder silhouette dress, paired it with a black and gold block heels from Something Borrowed.

And since it's freaking cold in Baguio, especially at night—I needed a coat! I was looking for a fur jacket but unfortunately, it was sold out everywhere. Good thing I got this lovely off-white coat from Forever 21.

And since everybody was all glammed up, I made sure to take several portraits of my friends.

I'm awkward as ever whenever someone takes a photo of me. LOL

It's almost sunset!

I swear sunset is so much better in Baguio! There are shades of blue, pink, orange and even violet!

Here's a little peek of the wedding. Everything about it was beautiful—the couple and their families, the place, everybody's outfits, THE FOOD and of course booze! The couple even graced everyone with a special performance with their close friends and family members. Everything was so amazing, I swear it was probably the best wedding I've ever been to.

And you know how they say you had fun because you forgot to take photos? This iz it. The night was a happy blur because we got so drunk. Alcohol was overflowing, and the music was so good, it was so fun! We were drinking, dancing and singing all through the night, I did not even feel the cold. And mind you, it was freezing!!!

I'm already married, and our wedding was a very intimate one with only our immediate families. Yet when I witnessed this wedding, I suddenly dreamt of a nice, quite grand wedding for ours too, since we've yet to have a bigger wedding. Then again, I still feel like it's just not me. But who knows, someday, right?

Here's to beautiful weddings and blessed marriages!
