Oh My Bag PH: Because A Beautiful Bag Makes A Beautiful Day

Oh My Bag PH - Because A Beautiful Bag Makes A Beautiful Day!

To be honest, I'm not so much into expensive bags. I prefer simple designs which costs more or less than Php 500 and are usually sold in bazaars. Why? Because apart from it's made here in the Philippines, these are affordable yet durable ones. I've had 3 of them and until now they are still in good condition! Whether it's under the blazing sun or the heavy rain, my things inside those bags are perfectly fine. I forgot what material it is, but it's definitely not faux or synthetic leather (you'll know what I'm referring to when you read more of this entry). These are rubber-like materials which makes it easier to clean and maintain and also, affordable!

So why exactly am I saying those things? It's because I recently found out about Oh My Bag PH which provides Bag Care products and accessories to add oomph and care for your bags, no matter how much it costs.

I had my first wisdom tooth extraction earlier this weekend. It was actually the perfect time for me to do this because of the long weekend; more time to recuperate from the procedure, plus I get to eat my favorite comfort food, Mom's arroz caldo! The (bloody) process which took more than an hour, our patience and most definitely, my tooth and strength, was not something to look forward to. But the one thing I did look forward though, was my dentist's advise--to eat Halo-halo, ice cream, and more cold beverages and desserts!

Nowadays, more and more companies are becoming lenient and flexible with their policies inside the workplace. Some people even have the luxury to work from home, work anytime they want as long as they fulfill certain hours a day or week aka "flexitime"; some though, stretch the policy people tend to forget--dress codes.

Colourette Cosmetics' Starter Pak by Michelle Dy in "Boss Babe" review + swatches

Colourette Cosmetics' Starter Pak by Michelle Dy in "Boss Babe"

Last September, up and coming Filipino-owned Cosmetics Brand Colourette Cosmetics launched a lipstick bundle they collaborated with Filipino-Chinese Beauty Blogger and Youtube Vlogger, Michelle Dy! They're quite new in the beauty industry (they recently celebrated their first anniversary!) but they started making a buzz when they got Filipina-Australian Model Lily Maymac as their model and endorser almost a year ago. With a variety of killer lipstick shades, a great matte finish and knowing how to market their products to the Filipinas, Colourette Cosmetics sure know what they are doing!

Ever since I entered college, I became obsessed with my hair. I've tried straightening treatments, having full bangs, coloring my hair (full head, ombre and balayage highlights!), digital perm (thrice!) and then the numerous Brazilian Blowouts that I've had the last couple of years. That is why it is very important for me to take good care of my hair all the time.

My first Colourpop Cosmetics Haul + swatches soon!

My first Colourpop Cosmetics haul!

Several weeks ago, I finally decided to try purchasing from the US. Why? Because it's still cheaper (especially when you buy in bulk) per piece as compared to buying it from re-sellers here who sell it for P450 above plus shipping fee! (P.S., @thebeautyclubph sells it for only P429. Find them on Instagram, Facebook and Shopee and hook yourselves with the cheapest Colourpop products. You're welcome!)

So going back, I was really nervous at first of course, because this transaction is all about trust:
  1. you trust your instincts, that you have chosen the shades that will all suit you and your skin tone
  2. that your online payment has been received and this is not scam (lol I always get paranoid transacting online, most especially if it's a thousand miles away!)
  3. that your order was processed and that the package will really arrive at your doorstep--straight from the US.
Well it took about a month--which is quite long for a company who provides such service and less than P500 for the shipping, but heck yeah, not bad for my first time.

My first BeautyMNL  package!

After 4 months of being MIA--I'm baaaack! I've just been busy being an adult the past few months and boy it's hard. I have been juggling my 9-7:30 PM work, my Mom's and my business plus my personal life. I'm only 24 years old but gaaahhh. Being. An. Adult. Is. Hard. Anyway, here I am blogging (while watching Ricki and The Flash, 2016), to share my very first shopping experience at BeautyMNL.

LA Girl PRO.conceal HD High Definition Concealer review + before/after

L.A. Girl PRO.conceal HD High Definition Concealer review

Brand: L.A. Girl
Product: PRO.conceal HD High Definition Concealer
Finish: Satin
Availability: Sold leading malls and in online shops
Price: Php 319

I mentioned in my previous post about the boyfriend and I's day out. Part of our date last weekend was shopping, and I was so happy because I finally got to buy this amazing concealer that I've been reading good reviews about. I thought it wasn't available in the leading shopping malls, but it was! However, like any other person trying out something new, I was quite hesitant if this will work out for me. Apart from having lots of concealer in my quest to find what will work for me, I'm afraid that this will cause my skin to break out or it will simply don't work.

My Make-Your-Own-Havaianas (MYOH) 2016 experience

Our Make-Your-Own-Havaianas 2016 pairs

Last week was the boyfriend and I's impromptu "date day/day out". Impromptu because after his night shift Friday work, he just decided to date (apparently, that meant to let me eat my heart out at this new Chinese restaurant that I've been wanting to try for quite some time now--will post that soon. Haha.) me that day. Apparently, it was also that same weekend that Make Your Own Havaianas 2016 was happening at SM Megamall.  It was destiny, isn't it? :)

Sale Alert | The Big Nivea Sale - 50% Off your favorite Nivea products from April 14-18

Photo from Nivea Philippines' Facebook page

It was only after lunch time when I found out about Nivea's 50% off sale through my colleagues at work. Turns out, they spent part of their lunch time to shop for Nivea products that were on huge sale! That's why when they all came back at the office, they've got plastic bags full and only of the brand. Can't blame them though, LOL. So of course, being the beauty junkie/banidosa lady that I am, I wouldn't miss this. During our afternoon break, my friend and I went to the nearest grocery to score these items for 50% off! Yes, Nivea items are now only half the regular prices! But only until Monday, so hurry, go forth and hoard! :))

My Duty Free Philippines Makeup Haul | MAC Cosmetics & Evian

My Duty Free Philippines Makeup Haul (from left to right):
Evian Facial Spray, MAC Cosmetics Foundation Pump and lipsticks

Duty Free Philippines have always been (mostly) the OFW and his/her family's go-to for pasalubongs whenever one arrives back home here in the Philippines. It's conveniently located inside or at least near the airports, so whenever one forgets, or just impulsively thinks of buying anything, you just drop by at their store.

Easy Do-It-Yourself Choker Necklace

DIY Choker Necklace when worn
If you're a 90's kid, you know what the 90's fashion look like. There's denim, loose shirts, white sneakers, brown lips, braids, and of course--chokers! You've probably been seeing a lot of people wearing these tight necklaces like a dog collar, well now you know why. (Blame it on whoever brought back 90's fashion again! LOL.) So if you're digging this style or just simply enjoy DIYs like me, this post is for you! Here's how to make your very own choker necklace. ;)

I'm also wearing this on my DP!

Food-ventures: Breakfast at Juanita's Kapitolyo, Pasig City

Breakfast at Juanita's
#17 West Capitol Drive,
Barrio Kapitolyo, Pasig City

Yesterday, the boyfriend was supposed to meet up a colleague for work. And since they were going to meet at Kapitolyo, we decided to have lunch. Initially, we agreed on going to our favorite, Kanto Freestyle Breakfast. However, we then thought, why not try something new? So after Googling the best place to eat at Kapitolyo, we found out that Cafe Juanita was the best. We went there but when we arrived, Cafe Juanita was closed. Apparently they're only open from 11 AM to 2:00 PM, then 5:00 PM to 10 PM. That's why we opted to go to Breakfast at Juanita's which is just beside Cafe Juanita.

My 2015 in Movies

I started to fell in love with movies when I was a graduating student back in college, year 2012. Since I was about to graduate and I was able to take some subjects in advance, I had quite a lot of time, especially on my last term. That's when I started to devoting my time to movies  apart from books and blogging of course. I was even blogging about movie reviews, movie marathons (Disney, Zooey Deschanel, Mario Maurer, etc etc.) before, but then again, adulthood and responsibilities that comes with it happened...

To the New Year and New Beginnings

Happy New Year, everybody and welcome, 2016! While 2015 has been a good year, of course, we'll always look forward to the new year simply because for most of us, it is an indication of a new beginning; another chance; opportunities and possibilities that life has to offer. I don't know, but for me, the new year is always a good motivation for me to look back and evaluate myself like, knowing my strengths to maintain and improve and of course, my weaknesses so that I will know what to change and also improve to make myself better.
